Also, I recall something Neil deGrasse Tyson once said. He wagered that if we are on an exponential growth, no matter where you are in time, looking back always feels like "oh dear how dumb were we" and the future always looks like "everything should be perfect in about 20 years", so every time feels like it's the best time to be living.
