imagine drawing a circle on a piece of paper labeled "Everything."

So there's everything (the universe and everything that has existed ever, etc...). All we humans can ever hope to achieve is to understand how this thing works, similar to examining a super complex engine and then slowly but surely figuring out how the thing works. But with an engine we can see why it was built; where with science we can only examine the how.

Point is this: we've been figuring out more and more over the years how this world works. And we're getting cocky about these things, even though we are merely discovering the physical mechanisms of the universe.

But why is it here? This is where God comes into play, gentliment. Accept Jebus Christ as your lord and savior and all will be revealed.

tldr; God == A perfectly straight line. doesn't exist in this world but has direct and meaningful correlations

right, but (srsly now) this is my problem with dawkins & friends. they take God to be a hypothesis about how everything works. There are many who do just this; fundies. Not talking about them.

God wasn't ever meant to be a hypothesis about how shit works (this what science be for). He was meant to represent everything outside of our understanding.
