Meterology buff here.

This is gonna be good.

A friend of mine is visiting from Seattle and I'm meeting her in New York on Monday.

How bad is it going to be here?

I bet those silly Americans regret inventing hurricanes now, don't they?

>> No.3627089

Im going to love how the yankees react to a hurricane.

A cat 2 probably, but still.

This is what a west coaster must feel like about the Virgina quake.

Do you know what the worst part of all this is? After the hurricane blows over (see what I did there?), some fringe "Christian" group will attribute the hurricane to the sins of those living on the Eastern seaboard.

>> No.3627150

Why did they add catastrophic on the picture if they didn't use it on the map? For people to get a sense of security?

aw man...all those unprepared city vermin....all those casualties....though knowing my luck, there will only be, like, 100 deaths or some bullshit like that. Probably not even that much collateral.
God, fucking america - even in disaster, you don't fail to disapoint. Seriously, this country hasn't gone up in a blaze since the great depression. Fuck this whitewashed, mickey-mouse country.

Meteorology-fag here.. Might actually work at TWC... might not.

NWS is fairly certain this thing is going to rape the I-95 corridor. The jaggoffs at TWC are hyping the fuck outta the storm though, the evil overlords at NBC demand it.

Now, I am hoping for some pure chaos on Saturday and Sunday.

This storm isn't going to have rape-winds. But it is going to flood the fuck outta things in-land. Six to Fifteen inch per hour rainfall rates to be expected.

The Senior Mets here are all walking around with raging weather boners about this storm.

>> No.3630249

>>3630182
Don't work for TWC I hear they treat their operational Meteorologists like shit, and you only make the big bucks if your on tv. If you want money go private, but if you want the science or anything in post grad research NOAA and Military are the way to go.
