Reminds me of this one time where I finally met this cute girl who was not only intelligent, but attracted to me for mine, and things were going great at first. But then she met this guy who was not only even more intelligent than me, but was a musician and such a successful artfag that he could make about $600 - $20,000 on a single piece by him, and she ended up hanging around him more and I saw less and less of her until she was gone completely. I was struck so hard by this that I literally ran into my bathroom and kept vomiting for the next half-hour, worst experience of my life.

I met a guy like this in high school. Not only was he smarter than me, he was well versed in every kind of logical argument and flaw there is, He was a non-denominational christian, incredibly popular, pretty attractive, and fluent in 5 languages. Without a doubt, he is the person most worthy of life I've ever met. I felt inadequate at first, but then I realised it was getting me nowhere, and that moping around did nothing. The truth is, once you teach yourself to treat the tenets of logical thought as innate, you gain the ability to think like the smartest people in the world. Only then do you get to bitch about other peoples' intelligence.

OP - well, inevitably there is somebody smarter than you, and most likely its a female. They are generally smarter than the average bear.

It doesn't matter if somebody is smarter than you, they probably believe in a lot of facts that aren't even factual anymore.

What does 'smarter than' equate to? Nothing really. There are plenty of very smart poor people you'll never see in your life and undoubtably some of them live in poverty but are smarter than you.

And some are dumber than you but will still be better in stuff, like an idiot savaant. Whatever.

I knew a kid who was 182 IQ, my best friend for a few years, the armed forces wanted him but kept screwing around and he died before they could take him 5 months after he applied and 3 months after they 'accepted' but they couldn't get their shit together and actually accept him.

Smart as hell, could have been a very useful asset, wanted to be one, but you'd think 5 months would have been long enough to accept somebody who is vastly intelligent into the united states forces.

It wasn't.

/new/ was always a loose canon. With all due respect, pure philosophy students being hilariously sarcastic aren't actually that entertaining. I think (though I don't actually know more than I picked up on the forums) that we pay moot some miserable level for letting us play.

Moot and the boards decided /new/ had gone too far and was just ridiculous, and we couldn't see much way of pulling it back. It was initially supposed to be a place for devil's advocates but it just became "derp derr black people"

There was never a community outside of the one we made, I'm not aware of any way to shit it up.

/new/ was at least 90% fabricated. I'm sorry, but it's true. We've been told not to post on the text boards (which still exist, by the way) so you can try there if you want legitimate discussion.
