How influential is our unconsciousness on our actions?

Does our consciousness have any real say over our actions at all?

You ever drive a car for a very long time? Most likely your unconsciousness did most of the work driving.

it is not unconsciousness my friend. it is medulla oblongata.

it also controls learned reflexes like walking, driving, riding a bicycle? so if it isn't which part is, correct me.

I've walked home once, and I suddenly found myself wakeing up while walking, I was walking while sleeping/dreaming. What controlled that?

your motor cells are not being shut down normally as you go to sleep. so when you dream or your brain orders your neurons to walk, you walk.

Enjoy your dissociative personality disorder you ignorant zombies.
i know exactly what you are talking about because i was once exactly like you. it's called depersonalization.

i guess i was fortunate to have a loooooot of time thinking and learning about life.
eventually came back on track again stronger then before.

i knew that, in this particular place, there are a lot of people who plunged the same pitfalls i was in.

good luck.
