All right, folks, lemme lay it down for ya: This country is RULED by a bunch of rich, white, power-hungry company men. We are OWNED. This is not a democracy. This is a Consumerist country. We are owned by the people at the top of the food chains. You think they give a flying shit? They don't. They like us uneducated and poor. That's EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. We can't exactly go 'Hey wait, I am aware of this. We must stop this' if nobody knows that the politicians are just hollow suits that act as hollow dicksleeves for the corporations that really run the country. Voting is a useless passtime; We have no say in who wins. It's all them. There is no trickle-down and there is nobody in control who is listening to our citizens. Super-Congress is a fine example of this.

That's actually a good thing, HPV vaccination should be mandatory, it's anti-sex christfags who are messing it up (again)

By "required for all" you mean recommended but with the possibility of obtaining an exemption, identically to other routine vaccinations. Why should the HPV vaccine be treated differently? If anything, the default being in favour of vaccination is even more important, because it removes the stigma that otherwise attaches to getting an STD vaccine. I wonder how many girls will die because they were too ashamed to request the vaccine for fear of being regarded as a "slut."

I live in Texas, and I have mixed feelings about Perry, but I think the vaccination manoeuvre was politically courageous (standing up to the prudish moralizers) and justified.

Merck is a campaign contributor and his former chief of staff is now a lobbyist for them. He was obviously doing it for the money. He is bad for Texas and the country.

>> No.3563424

>>3563369
Listen, I don't know to what extent that's true (Politicians seldom refuse contributions, and they get them from many sources. It's usually possible to "discover" some conflict of interest.) and I don't even like Perry. The point is that Perry could be a gibbering devil and it makes no difference. If the Devil told you your fly was unzipped, would you zip it up? If the Devil told you your daughters were dying excruciating deaths from preventable disease, would you vaccinate them? In any case, he has a responsibility as governor to make certain decisions in the interest of public health that can't be simply abandoned because it might create an unfortunate appearance of impropriety.
