Written this way, it's clearly 9. This can be applied to any situation, and this is why it's always done. None of this left-to-right bullshit.

Either you divide 6 by 2 and multiply by 3 to get 9, or multiply 6 by (1+2) and then divide by 2 to get 9.

The problem is that we don't know what the divisor sign applies to. The problem could either be re-stated as 6 over (2(2+1)), or as (6(2+1)) over 2. OP is trolling with ambigious math notation; look up implicit and explicit multiplication.

i didnt add those google did. I typed it in exactly as OP posted. The parentheses around 6/2 doesn't matter because 6/2 is in front of the 2(1+2). So 6/2(1+2) is the same as (6/2)*(1+2)
