Torturing animals is fine.
It's a good thing that we're getting lab meat though - it could evolve into a cheap way of acquiring nutrients.
Currently you can either eat the less-economically-viable animals or suffer from bad nutrition (not enough saturated fats, not enough omega 3, B12 deficiency, hard time acquiring enough "full" protein without padding them with a lot of calories etc.).
