I'm 6'2" at about 145 lbs. (really). But I've seem to grown a bit of a belly lately. But I'm thinking about shedding it by simply running one or two miles (or at least walking) at night because a). I'm usually up at night and asleep at day; and b). there's something about running down an empty street at night with nothing but the street lights filling it that just seems attractive to me. Plus I usually walk/run each day that I'm out, mostly to get something from the convenient store at the end of my block or to use the bank in the next district (which is about 25 minutes walking distance max.) But one of my goals for each night is just simply run down to the 7-11 two miles from my house, get a Gatorade, and run back.

Anyway, I'm just wondering how long it would take until I have, uh, less of that belly in pic related? I'm not trying to lose weight by a certain date, just curious to how long it would take considering the size of it right now, and my current exercise goal. And in case you weren't able to decipher what that is from the garbled mess above: running one-to-two miles and back at night.

Also, how many nights would I need to do this each week? Four? Five? Seven?

I have a feeling /fit/ is going to ban me, again, for posting this.

I hear swimming is the most efficient way to lose mass.

Also, check your diet and alcohol intake.

Okay.
>alcohol intake
FUCK YOU!!!

Oddly enough I did 21 about three months ago last Monday, and didn't start noticing this belly until some time after that. But I don't drink very often.

LOL. You'll consume more calories from the gatorade than you'll expend running four miles. I'll be laughing when you come back six months later and you've gained 20 pounds.

Shit one.
I don't have a belly, but most males in my family do.
They admit it came from boozing and a lack of exercise.

You could always start smoking ...

I used to smoke back in high school, but that habit only lasted a few months.

You best be trolling.

OP, exercise and eat healthy, that's all you need to do. That means no more alcohol, limit sodas, limit candy, eat the proper amount of calories. No eating out. Do some cardio and weight lifting. More muscle = higher metabolism as well.

Also, when you go grocery shopping for food do not use a credit card. It makes you spend more. You don't want more food, and you want to be able to save money as well
