The problem in America is really a dichotomy. Most public schools are terrible, but students receive a good education at private, charter, and a few public schools. A similar dichotomy exists in secondary education, with the best American universities being (among the) best in the world. This is why foreigners often go to college in the US.

I've lived in America all my life. Let me tell you what it is like here.

Almost everyone is religious and owns guns. And they expect you to be as well or they will turn violent. For anyone they suspect of being nonreligious they will point there guns at you and if you don't say you believe in god they will either shoot you or beat you into a coma.

When you go into public, there are ghetto niggers and rednecks everywhere. They often get into shootouts at walmart and hold KKK rallies in public parks. It is rare to see a black person who is not eating watermelon and holding at least two guns.

When you go to a restaurant, instead of a glass of water, they give you a large cup full of hot grease or lard. And no matter what you order, it comes covered in ketchup and/or bbq sauce. They have a scale in the restaurant and if you are the fattest person there you get to eat free.

In school, they don't teach science class unless you get a special note from your parents to put you into this class. Otherwise you are enrolled into a christian class and taught about jesus. Jews and muslims are sent to detention for this period.

Really though I am American and I just wrote this because it is funny to imagine what retarded shit Europeans think about us based on Fox news or other stupid media.

There is no true existential risk to your average American. Safety-net social programs won't let you die in the streets if you're not an alcoholic, especially if you've got a family.

Certainly if you want to live it large you need to wise up, but the majority of the population is fine with a life of barbecues and ball games, having no true aspirations in life.
