How would one go about making a homemade jetpack?
It doesn't have to last a considerable length of time, so rockets or fireworks could be used.

Nevermind, found it.

Seems like you'd need some powerful propellent in a tank (or two) under some serious pressure... with some nozzles that you can control with a joystick.

You'd need some stabilization software onboard.

You'll only be able to fly for a couple of minutes at best with what's available today.

To fly you need thrust, for thrust you need mass, liquid is massier than a gas, to fly a long time you need a lot of liquid. This was implied.
