If I sleep on my side I'll have a nightmare, guaranteed.

Scientifically speaking, why is this?

(No I won't ask /x/)

>> No.3101212

I could be wrong, but it could possibly be caused by your body not getting enough air in that position, so you cause yourself to have nightmares in an attempt to wake yourself up so you can change position and breathe more easily.

Because you are a faggot.

Same thing happens to me when I fall asleep on my back.

lol jk

you need to be a bit more specific OP.

a bit of information on lifestyle, diet, exercise, previous injuries to the cranial region (if any), would be helpful.

> lifestyle
Healthy. Lots of manual labor working at a liquor store. This also means I have a couple of drinks each night.

> diet
Healthy. Very little processed/takeaway food, lots of homecooking of red meat and vegetables. Some caffine admittedly

> exercise
Gym and work, generally mobile

> cranial injuries
None

I hear of people having this with back, front, side, etc. It's curious.

If you sleep on your side you leave your asshole open to raping by incubi and it is a known fact that their semen alters the chemistry of the brain. Your hyper-astronomical faggotry is what attracts these creatures.

hmmm....okay...

well, judging from what you told me right now you should be perfectly okay....

do you sleep with or without a pillow? because tension in your neck could be the issue if you don't sleep without a pillow.

>Healthy. Lots of manual labor working at a liquor store. This also means I have a couple of drinks each night.

I take it that by a couple of drinks you mean about 3~4 mugs of beer, amiright?
my advice=cut back on the alcohol, also avoid drinking before going to sleep, that might help a bit.

>> No.3101273

It could be that the body feels "uneasy" in that position if it's new (or you haven't done it for years). Your brain might be "unsettled" as if you were sleeping upside down and that would be reflected in dreams, manifesting as nightmares, even though physically you're quite comfortable.

With a pillow, yep. And yeah, 3 or 4 beers (or the equivelant thereof).

That could be it I suppose.

hmmmm.....

okay, so it probably isn't neck tension since you sleep with a pillow.

This may sound like really elementary advice, but I suggest about 1~3 glasses of water before you sleep.

Also, I would suggest on investing some money into those pillows that changes shape with your head. It should keep your head upright.
