It's hard to say at which point it would be possible for a normal undamaged human mind to find an artificial companion more worthwhile than a real one, since we're all damaged one way or another. The people, virgins or not, who don't have a choice, would likely jump at the chance fairly quickly compared to the norm. But is there really anything wrong with that?

Anyone more versed in psychology knows that people aren't really products of their own choices. Genetics, childhood and the occasional trauma make us who we are, it's ridiculously stupid and ignorant to call someone a pathetic fag or virgin or loser in a negative sense, when most likely those people did nothing to earn their station. Just as most likely those who are deemed "successful" by the society's standards did very little to earn their position either.

Ultimately there is no "love" as it's presented to us in romantic stories, books and movies. There's absolutely no guarantees for the "right one" to ever be out there for all of us, and some of us *will* live our entire lives alone. Either because no-one will love us, or because we cannot bring ourselves to love anyone else. Personally, I really do hope that some day they can create the perfect mate for each and every one of us. The artificial mind and body who never doubts, never betrays, never hurts us, and never fails to appreciate all the work we do for them. There's nothing inherently wrong about that idea, as the humans themselves are void of real choice, and nothing more than biological robots with an AI developed by time and nature.
