gdday /sci/, poorfag here

So i have this fake-bottom bag I use for shoplifting.

How do i make the hidden partition block RFID tag signals so I can start stealing more valuable stuff ?

Google says tin foil, does this shit really work ? how thick should it be ?

>> No.3066309

About 10 layers should be good.

Nigger.

This is why we can't have nice things...

Though at the same time it's hard to feel bad for rich fucking companies losing out on some money

Well, it's the retailers that are losing money in this case.

>> No.3066327

Depends on strenght of detector. Some time ago, i have almost 'stolen' book from library while it was between me and aluminium body of laptop. Detector stayed unalarmed while i was going through.

So a fine piece of aluminium body could work.

>> No.3066331

You can test it by putting a radio in the bag. If all it can pick up is static then it'll block RFID tags too.

why are you even responding to a fucking thief??

You don't even have to put the radio in the bag. Just turn on a radio somewhere in the room and put the bag over your head, if you can still hear the radio then you need more foil.

i think helping people out with science and math problems on a science and maths board is not quite on par with asking how to break the law on a science and maths board.

Put a mobile phone in the box and call it using another one.
If it says that it's unavailable or shut down then you can pat yourself on the back and go get some nice electronic toys.

Foil can be used to make a "Booster bag", essentially a Faraday cage, but you need a couple of layers (around 30 layers of standard 20micrometer foil).
Furthermore, some countries have laws against simply being in possession of booster bags.

hey steal fags, when you steal from shops you're actually stealing off the customer. The prices of items go up, to pay for insurance to cover losses of what you steal fags take, so fuck you, fucking thieving low life scum.

Yeah, multibillion dollar companies totally have to shift the prices of all their items 'cos of the $50 worth of stuff that could be taken.

>> No.3066705

> The prices of items go up, to pay for insurance

Moron detected.

You don't insure against predictable losses; the insurance premium will just be the amount of the loss plus the insurer's profit margin.

Also: the seller is already charging as much as they think the consumer will pay. If they thought that the customers would pay more, they would increase the price regardless.
