Aerospace engineering vs. physics degree.
What would you choose and why?

>> No.3000312

Physics, because more choices. If you still care about engineering afterwards then go into it.

>> No.3000316

If you're going to do engineering, do Mechanical for your undergrad because it's more versatile. Then do an M.S or whatever in Aerospace afterwards (that's what I did).

Aerospace involves A LOT of physics.
fuck some of you are retarded

I know this is a troll but I'm kinda worried about this matter.
I mean, what kind of jobs could I apply for if I get a physics degree?

actually he/she is being dead serious.
there are a minute amount of job opportunities for people with PhD's in Physics. You can only get research jobs with shit pay. Or even a teaching job.

>> No.3000349

Most physicists (SOCAL) wind up working as code monkeys or doing the job of an an engineer. A four year degree in physics is not a big deal.

Major in engineering and double major/minor in physics.

>You can only get research jobs with shit pay

Who does a PhD in physics without intending to go into research? Industrial research is bro tier. Government-funded research pays like shit.

Choosing between two fairly similar fields of study and the career pay prospects SHOULDN'T be a factor? GTFO hippy.

Yeah, a physics degree is not as marketable as an engineering degree. Srs, most people should major in engineering, esp. in this economy.

>> No.3000455

BSc in physics is useless.

Only go for physics if you intend on getting a phd.

Do aerospace if physics is too easy and you want to learn something useful
