my chem course this semester went right up to the last day with new material. Calculus too. My BS required humanities course had one day of review in the final week.

Haven't had a major-related class that doesn't do this

It's actually a good thing on comprehensive finals.

That's the same face I make when my fucking students get pissed off because I present new material during the following:

The first week
The last week
The week before spring break
The week after spring break
"Spring Party Week"
Rush week
The week their other classes have exams

leaving me with a room full of "adults" who are using other people's money for four years of binge drinking and unprotected sex, and they refuse to learn 10/15 weeks of the semester.

people saying skip, don't forget some universities and classes enforce attendance policies. the math department at my university will drop you a letter grade if you miss more than 3 classes. it's a load of bullshit

I don't like it when professors teach a whole weeks worth of new material before giving a test on the old material.

I get two days of review in my analysis class which is cool and all considering that I go to an all right state school, big 10, and to get an A in the class we have to get a 90% or higher and we've gone through more material than UC Berkley iirc who uses the same book for basic analysis. Also they only have to get an 80% to get an A.

Wow, that's pretty fucking insane, if the class is more than 2 days a week it's really easy to legit miss 3 days and a letter grade is ridiculously fucking draconian.

To be fair, the quantitative requirements for a good grade don't mean shit relative to how hard the questions are.

American school seems so easy.

Every class teaches shit on the last day

>Cover topic for tops 5 mins
>barely study as I assume its irrelevant
>question based on topic worth 10% of final
>goddammit!

For my classes it seems getting an A is dependant on the class. I've gotten A's with an 85 and a B's with an 85 in other classes.

Also I've been two 3 review sessions in my time at university and none of them were during regulation class time (like 6pm a day before the final) or something like that.

Review sessions are for faggots anyways
