Are you going to have an Unmarked Grave /sci/?

>> No.2940946

yes

>> No.2940951

Nope, I'm having my brain cryopreserved so I can be revived after the singularity (in the event I don't live to see it happen).

>> No.2940958

>>2940951

why?

>> No.2940961

i want my body to be cremated and then used as soil for a tree to grow in thus that tree is infused with my body, and eventually that tree will grow and die yet its dependents will live on. making me pretty much immortal

>> No.2940963

>>2940958

Do you want to die? Do you enjoy not existing? I know I'll do anything to prevent it.

>> No.2940967

>>2940939
Nope, I plan to get freeze-dried, ground up, and used as mulch.

I want the nutrients of my body to return to the bio-cycle as quick as possible.

Viking Funeral

Your body doesn't matter. "You" are the pattern of neuronal connections and signal interchanges in your brain. If that can't be preserved, you're not immortal.

What this guy said.

The rest of you are complacent morons.

Human mortality is a disease.

>> No.2940977

/sci/ is no different then the religious people they bash

they have these false hopes and delusions of transhumanism and anti-aging and other psuedoscientific beliefs because they're terrified of death

>> No.2940979

i want to be eaten by my child so my knowledge can be passed on

>> No.2940983

>>2940951
hope you have millions of dollers to pay for that

>> No.2940984

>>2940977

And unlike religious faggots, we're actually doing something to put off or prevent death, instead of deluding ourselves we'll all go to a happy place when we CEASE TO EXIST.

>> No.2940987

>>2940983

Nope, Alcor charges ~50 000 USD for neuropreservation. It's covered with my life insurance.

I hope you enjoy the inevitable death of the universe.

Eventually, you will die. Whether it's a year from now, 80 years from now, or billions of years from now, nothing can extend life to "infinity". IF you want to try to EXTEND your life, go for it, but don't pretend you're never going to die. It's just not possible. Eventually your consciousness will cease to exist.

No, it's a necessity for life itself and society.

If you think a biologically immortal or long-living species can survive you are a moron.

Still, ceasing to exist at the moment of the heat death of the universe, trillions of years from now, would be vastly preferable to dying after what amounts to a negligible time period on a cosmic scale.

Infinity is a purely mathematical concept, I'm aware of that. But if there isn't a way around it, I'd settle for living as long as the universe exists. And I'll have all the time in the universe to figure out whether there is a way around it.
