what does this mean /sci/ ?

Schroedinger wave equation for something.

I second that. It's some quantum mechanics. I don't know specifically what it's about though...

It's the full Schrödinger equation for a many-particle system. Analytically not solvable, due to the interaction term.

>> No.2852976

Looks like hamiltonian for electrons+ions system (first line) and Born-Oppenheimer approximation (second and third line).
But the first line misses ions mass in the first term, so I'm a little confused.

It's the Schrödinger equation of a many particle system together with electrostatic potentials. Then he applies the Born–Oppenheimer approximation for the protons. Don't know why on earth you'd make a tattoo like that.

Solid State Physics/Chemistry stuff.

Second line looks like 3-Dimensional representation of the Schroedinger Equation.

Biochemist.
That explains why he would ink himself with a non-relativistic limit of an equation, which describes composed particles in an WW2 motivated approximation >.<

Won't he be embarrassed once he see that you've schooled him!
