If you do not attend (or haven't attended) a top 25 university for your respective field you need to leave /sp/ immediately. Personally, I'd prefer everyone who isn't at a top 10 university to leave but then there would be a handful of people left...

People that need to GTFO regardless of majors, grades etc.

-English Majors
-Psychology Majors
-"Pre-Meds"
-Obscure majors no one has heard of
-Anyone attending a liberal arts college
-Anyone getting a degree other than a BS
-People who judge and compare themselves solely on IQ, GPA, and worst of all: SAT/ACT
-Those unable to perform simple calculus
-those unable to design a simple experiment
-pretentious engineers

The dept head of chemistry actually suggested for me to get a BA instead of a BS in biochem. I was like uhh..WAT. The thing with the people that spend 30k+ on college don't get is that they are paying for the name. I can literally go to MIT open course ware and follow along classes and I see little difference between those professors and mine except for the 10x higher tuition costs. When you are young borrowing 50k for a name seems like nothing because "obviously" you are going to get a job that pays six-figures out of college. It's only until they see that money come out of their pockets every month and look at their boss that went to UCLA that they realize they fucked up.

To be fair, those big names can play an important role when it comes to things like doing research.
When someone like DARPA needs some shit MIT researches always seem to be behind it somehow.

But yeah, when it comes to actual education, anyone who thinks they're smarter because they learned Calculus at MIT vs anywhere else is fucking stupid.

Your a retard OP, its only graduate school that necessarily needs a big name attached to it. Spending 250k for a science degree from Harvard is fucking retarded.

Also, the difference in pay for people coming out of MIT with an engineering degree versus Georgia Tech or UCLA is only about 15,000 more with just a bachelors. However, you have like twice the debt.

I guarantee I will be making more money than you and I'll be stepping out of Stanford graduation without a cent of debt.

great, you go to a university that has name recognition.

however, you don't have name recognition, which is why you're so desperate to attach yourself to a university and discredit others.

until you do something that i, or anyone else, should actually care about because it is important or cool, bragging about getting into a college is going to be the best thing you have to say about yourself. which is pathetic.

do something noteworthy and then you won't have to spend all of your free time trying to justify your own small existence on internet forums.
