I think it might work...

also, troll science thread

>> No.2781458

i beleive that would fuck up the earth in a lot of ways.
but sure it would work in a way to generate electricity.
your a fag btw.

>> No.2781471

I believe the magnets would just be pulled into the Earth, there's nothing keeping them there.

>> No.2781473

It's not free energy when you need fuel to keep those huge magnets in orbit.

only "free" energy is gravity, we need to learn how to use gravity to the best of our benefits

Feedback would eventually stop earth´s spinning.

never heard of friction?

yes, and movement/light

and more magnets

Actually you would have to put the wires the other way around so you would create and induction magnetic field. And the kinetic energy of the earths rotation would suffice for a billion years considering the current energy consumption. Then the Earth would stop.

Gravity is a fairly useless energy source.

It will pull something "downward", but how do you get it "upward"?

It needs to be upward initially to be pulled downward, then it needs to return upward to be pulled down again.

>> No.2781586

have fun with your non moving earth.

Seems ALMOST like the gigantic Tesla coil Nikolas Tesla was going to build. Except he lost funding for it... and didn't need to put it in outer space... and used the natural magnetic field of the Earth instead of a giant coil.

I´m pretty sure this guy wanted to refer to some nonsense science, vacuum-energy shit, which gets larger in gravitational fields or whatever.

Either that or waterfall energy exploitation devices.

>> No.2781594

>>2781431
you could put the magnets in orbit.

but the amount of energy it takes to put them in orbit would be greater than the amount of energy you would get from the coils. and lentz law would take their speed back to zero

Humanity is already exploiting kinetic energy of rotating earth. Ever heard of tidal power stations?

too bad you forgot about gravity, dumbass.

>> No.2781609

Actually space elevators can be generators, gigantic magnets and coils around the earth are not necessary. The problem is that the rotation of the earth is gradually slowed.

that is exploiting the kinetic energy of the moon.
