Not all of them are like that, you know. The Math people I know are pretty cool/not so bad. I workout daily, try to eat in a healthy fashion and have a stabilized social life. Then again, I do spend my time just doing a lot of mathematics .. so, my social skills aren't up to par with someone from another major, I guess.

Nope.jpg. I'm a very emotional person when it comes down to it, but I'm able to be a mathematician. If anything, emotion aids me in my quest to become a great mathematician. I don't know about any other mathematician, but I can 'feel' what I'm working with. Like, if I know a proof is going the right way/wrong way, if it's responding 'well' to me, etc. I know that it isn't realistically, but if I know something is off, I'll just instinctively feel it.

I also enjoy art, philosophy, religious studies, et cetera.

You can't think of solutions without creativity. Logic, however, works in a very fine way to learn and understand math; because math=logic.

Put in another, metaphorical, way: logic will get you to the top of the mountain - but creativity will search for other tops which are even higher.

You mean /r9k/ specially? I think it's mostly peer pressure, since I would assume most of them to be teenagers. In general, I think sex is simply hyped up as some sort of holy grail in the media to the point that real life experiences could never measure up to it.
