Exactly. When people get ahold of science easier that's when things are dangerous.

Personally I think that individuals must derive all of science and humanity's progress (possibly in a simulated environment?) in order to achieve the responsibility that comes with power. Giving an idiot politician the power to press a red button when they have no knowledge of nuclear physics is obscenely naive.
