Real science doesn't equal pop science. Most scientists haven't seen the Cosmos, nor have they heard of Sagan.

Why do you assume scientists know who the fuck Sagan is?


He is just one scientist amoung many. His contributions in science are fair at most, but not extrodinary. He is known for his "pop-science", not his "actual science".
