Easy. Perform a chlorophyll centrifuge and try observing it from different directions with a light source in differnet places.

Some angles, the chlorophyll does the job and only allows red light through. The rest of the angles, the chlorophyll just reflects light.

Chlorophyll is a one-way mechanism.
