I respect the church (the good ones, namely the American Baptists (not southern baptists), Church of Christ, UCC, Episcopals, Methodists, Lutherans and Presbyterians) because they tend to actually do a fuckload of community service and the congregation is usually filled with normal nice benevolent folk. I don't believe in their God, but I think Jesus was a pretty cool guy and if more people tried to make an effort to behave like him we could fix a lot of shit in this world, so I see no reason to attack Christians either (unless they're one of those fringe lunatics preaching death and destruction to everyone who doesn't do exactly as they say).
