Can vinegar (or anything else acidic) be used as mouth wash effectively?

Will this kill plaque or just melt my teeth slowly?

I don't really see any reason why this wouldn't work

Is there a way to get the ratio right so it would kill bacteria and not my teeth as well?

Get some rubbing alcohol and wash with that.

Acids work pretty well for this, I've been using HF as a mouthwash for several weeks now and the results have been just great.

Highly recommended, but go for something stronger then vinegar.

Get some ammonia from the store, dilute it by a factor o 2 and then gargle it. This is basically what denists use on movie stars to make their teeth look unnaturally white.
