>mfw the chain rule

everyone in my class is like OMG THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE but I think it's really fun, I go all crazy and see how much I can simplify the end result. It feels less like math and more like a logic puzzle.

Confirmed for high school student. Enjoy your ban.

How's pre-algebra going for you OP

Not necessarily. I have met a sad number of freshman college students that this could easily describe.

Seriously, /sci/. Come the fuck on. Step up your game.

You can't even claim 'trolling;' it's just poor knowledge.

I'm saying I'm in calculus III and not OP, what the fuck are you saying

actually i just learned(again) it in calc three for multivariables... shit got real.

In most college math curriculums, from my experience, modern analysis and real algebra go side by side. If we are talking about "calculus" being the "how to use calculus," then calculus comes before algebra.

ahh who cares OP everyone knows math courses are easy as shit anyway. just memorize and plug in, rinse, repeat; YOU'RE GOLDEN

Taking complex derivatives is always fun.

This shit is taught in like grade 10.

>Mfw I developed a 'trick' notation with my professor to stop myself from getting confused.

Use subscript c with variables which need to act as constants. It's easy-as-pie from there. Just give me credit. On exams, state "employing the usage of the Shiro rule." That, or ''rebirth rule.''

:D 4CHAN SAVES THE DAY.

._. My bad, nig.

When you say 'pre-algebra,' that usually translates to "before people even know what polynomials are" algebra. In the states(I'm assuming you're yuropoor), this is how it goes:

Arithmetic.
Pre-Algebra.
Introductory Algebra.
Intermediate Algebra/Trigonometry.
Pre-Calculus / Adv. Trigonometry.
Calculus I, II, III.
ODE.(sometimes taken after calc II, other times taken during. sometimes taken after calc 3).
Adv. Calculus / Analysis I.
Abstract Algebra / Modern Algebra / Group Theory / Ring Theory, Fields / Lie Groups, etc, etc.

That's usually the format. The guy who 'laughed' when you(or some other anon) referred to the chain rule being in pre-algebra has all merit, given that he's from the states. I see your point now though, since I'm in the higher-end courses and I've seen it all come together.
