Don't just do problems. Learn the basic principles behind the problems, do a few tricky looking ones to work out any kinks, then you'll understand wtf you're doing.

Don't make the mistake of just trying to memorize everything. Try to actually understand what everything means and why it is. Math is just built on logic, so there's a reason for everything. When you just try to memorize everything, you're learning on the lowest level and doomed to fail.

All jokes/ebonics aside, OP, just try to read the textbook and comprehend the theoretical facet(s) behind the mathematics. Furthermore, if you need any aid, go to Khan academy. KA will help you clear up any/all misconceptions you may have regarding the subject and you should be fine thereafter. I don't advise coming to /sci/ for HW problems, but we've been known to aid a few people every now and again.

Just take the necessary time to actually learn the theory. It's the most integral concept to Precalc, and that theory carries over in later courses.

Okay, to clarify
I took Pre-Calc my senior year of high school and did horrible because AP's + sports teams literally ate up most of my free time
I took it again my first semester of college and got a C- where as a C would've let me move on to Calculus.

I always say this, but:

You faggots should kill yourself. I was an asshole in high school and somehow barely got into university with shit-tier classes. I didn't even take grade 11 pure math. I took grade 12 applied math and then some shitty one month "bridging"course that gives you undeserved credits for grade 12 pure math.

Anyways I got into university, and snuck into a calc I class. So many students they didn't check the pre-reqs, which I did not have. Long story short, I fucking raped everyone in the class, including and especially a kid who sat near me who had taken high school advanced math (calculus, beyond the grade 12 pure math level).

I'm now taking my third calculus class and shit is SO easy.

Umm no I from from Canada. It's just what they call it. I am sure Amerifail has an extremely similar program, they just call it something else.

Applied math was pretty much, TI's allowed on every exam, most complicated thing was stat's confidence intervals aaaaand a little bit of finance for dummies. Interest rates and such. Did NOT do functions AT ALL. Had to learn functions on day one of calc, good thing functions were 100% immediately intuitive.

I would assume thou may be a tad furious, is this the OP? Anyways social skills is an interesting topic, but i must assure you I do not have asperger's or autism or any other mental illness. I come from the lower class and spend most of my time with relatively upper class people, both of my parents were/are drug addicts and neither graduated high school. I have an interesting story, not saying i'm godly or anything, but I do choose my friends interestingly carefully. People are generally like, "do you have good social skills?" to which another replies, "yes i do, we both have social skills-BFF's for LIFE!!!"

Honours economics and mathematics, tutor first year kids even though i'm a second year. Have an office shared with only 3 other people and we have our name on the door and shit.

When you first entered college you should have already learned that you can't expect to excel in fields through classroom material alone.

If you're really that stuck, get with your teacher and find some course of action to better help your understanding of the material. Teachers are there for more than just repeating textbook problems and grading tests.
