Doing A levels in the UK, I've narrowed my higher education fields to either organic chem or theoretical physics. I am able in and enjoy them both equally. So the only thing that will swing it either way for me is job prospects. Which has the best ratio of number of jobs : pay?
Many thanks

organic chemistry = little to no maths

theoretical physics = mindfuck maths

take your pick

Pick one.
And then pick chemistry.

Slight hijacker here.

I love OChem and am going to do it at uni. Then I'm doing a PHD and Post-Doc. I want to be a lecturer. What chance do I stand?

On that basis it's probably going to be Ochem, i'm good at maths but if it's truly mindfuck maths then i'm not sure

Organic Chemistry specifically something relating to carbon-carbon bond forming through organometallics.

If you are creative with your knowledge then you should be able to (maybe) patent something useful. At the least you could always teach the next generation.

the work of researchers should not revolve around patents and money
i went to a lecture of biochemistry in society and the way researchers from academia despise everyone who is a part of big pharmacy is incredible
