So, what's better for higher level calculus?

TI-89 or TI Nspire (CAS or otherwise)? (The new one with the touchpad and shit)

TI 89 is the standard

>> No.2544296

For university-level, a TI-89 is enough. The Nspire is just a more gimmicky version.

I would really suggest getting a non-TI calculator, though.

Be sure you can use that level of calculator, can't use over 89 in my calc 2 class

Is correct. BS in math and I love my Reverse Polish Notation.

You pay an exorbitant amount for a good product that can, sometimes be beat if you know exactly what you are looking for?
All righty. I'm honestly curious, I have a TI-84 right now that has served me very well in high school (Geometry through calc) although I was planning on getting a TI-89 for a calc class that I will be taking this summer at uni so that I can skip to calc two next year (my first at uni)...
What would you recommend?

No, i do use ti. I use a 83

That's plenty all you need is a graphing calculator for calc two. The fINT is a great feature but you already have that and don't need an upgrade. Honestly you can get through calc 2 with a cheap 5 dollar calculator

Graphing calculators belong in >>>/toy/

use a laptop with a CAS on it
