I know its kinds old news but I wanted to know what /sci/ thought about this.

Also, can this be used on 3rd degree burns?

Probably not, 3rd degree burns have damage that's below the epidermis, which aren't reached by a spray of stem-cells.

All this does is accelerate healing by providing cellular material for the process. It's not magic.

How about filling an insulin-pen with programmed nano and stemcells?

How exactly does this work?
Does it MAKE new skin or does it just help reg skin heal (like a fast forward button)? But this be used for scar removal? (cut off the scar and spray this on to make it heal into normal skin)

Great either way if it fully heals 2nd degree burns over a few days.

Stem cells are a sort of "building block" cell; a blank template, if you would. These can be adapted for specific purposes in the body, where they become a different type of cell. In this case, it would be to replace or recover burned skin tissues.

Or respirocytes if you just happen to find yourself in a war. Or underwater.

OR BOTH.

I wonder if you can do this with cancer.

As cancer is a disease in which cells reproduce rampantly, I'm fairly certain tossing stem cells on them wouldn't help.
