for gods sake, Chemists dont even know how to do simple convolutions of complex functions (which is taught to all physicists when they learn time-dependent perturbation theory in their 2nd or 3rd quantum course as a part of the derivation of the semi-classical theory of 2 level systems and lasers and whatnot)

I'm by no means good at calculus, physics, or math. I have no aspirations to get a PhD. I'm not going to derive or consider where the simple physics I'm using comes from.
