0^0 = (0^1)/(0^1) = 0 / 0 = undefined

0^0 is undefined

People say 1 because of the general rule, n^0 = 1, however, that's derived from:

n^0
= n^(1-1)
= n^1/n^1
= n/n
= 1

But, at the line n/n, you have the restriction that n cannot equal zero (the denominator would be zero, causing you to divide by zero). So in fact, the n^0 = 1 rule even supports the idea that 0^0 is undefined, because that's what it predicts
