HI

There was this picture I found here and I was wondering if anyone had it.

It was a picture for Biology majors and said "What I expected", "Reality". It was making fun of bio majors in that there's nothing to really do in it.

I want to use it for a class presentation so if anyone has it, it would be greatly appreciated!

Different person here but bumping because I'm a bio major. Is it really useless? Can''t you work for a zoo or something?

While we wait for the picture, let's discuss what Bio majors can do.

Working in a zoo
> Zoology

If you want to do something in bio you need to go to graduate school for at least a masters. But if you REALLY want to do stuff in labs you need a doctorate.

It's also a typical major for pre-med students, but decreases your chances of getting into medical school because they want to see "well-rounded" students, so you're better off in majoring in art.

So, you can't get a job with undergrad bio, and you can't get into grad school. What's the point?

YES. This is what I wanted, Thanks!

bio discussion may continue

Wow. Should I consider changing my major, in that case? Aren't you kind of implying that Med school is the only type of grad school? Surely graduate schools will accept you.

I'm a zoo major volunteering at a zoo and gunning down an internship.

Why do many people, bio and non-bio, scoff at animal care jobs?

It's fun, rewarding, and enlightening....not to mention if you get your masters you can actually be the person who goes out and catches shit.

Also this pic is not what was requested, but it's (almost) OC
