Sci, I have a question. If I use a directional 21dBi wlan antenna, would I be able to communicate with McDonalds wifi AP, located 1km away? Suppose, I live in a city and I have clear sight on McDonalds' windows.
Or, has the AP beam to be focused on my antenna, in order for us to communicate?
Implying 100mw of remote ap energy is still distributed omnidirectionally, I doubt it will work this way. But wouldn't my antenna be able to pick up the rest of reflected waves?
