I love math and hate most science.

im with you

I'm the exact opposite, go figure. I hate math but like most science.

Anything other than math and physics is unskilled labour.

Is there a proof for that equation? I was trying to work it out and was really confused

Hint: Take the taylor series of cosx and isinx. Then take the taylor series of e^ix.

How do these relate to each other?

Taking Taylor expansion at x=0 of cosx and isinx you can write e^(ix) = cosx + isinx
So, this is true to all values of x, even x = π.
e^(iπ) = cosπ + isinπ ; which is equal to:
e^(iπ) = -1 -> e^(iπ)+1=0
