no explanation then?

how do you expect any improvement if you don't show us the error of our ways?

>> No.2314109

Presidents usually come about through being in the government already.

People in the government are usually former lawyers who know their shit about law.

As such, chances are a president is a lawyer. Following times of war, a Conservative former Officer is very probable in being elected (with exceptions, of course).

Not to mention most of our presidents existed in a time when lightbulbs were considered withcraft anyway.

Not sure why OP would think that a politician is qualified to science, or a scientist is qualified to politician.

Two vastly different scopes of interaction, and people rarely have time or energy to be great at a lot of things.

>> No.2314111

Fucking retard Americans, the president's job is being President, not some lawyer or military bullshit.

as far as i am told here, there are only 5 presidents that could count, understand or use technology, or have a single notion what science was.

what did we vote into office? Tree stumps?

i admit things might better if we had...but seriously...what? you don't expect me to accept such an absurd idea do you?

Everybody in the first world has been doing that for decades now, making it so obvious a retard would laugh at those who aren't able to notice it, and yet you fucks still choose to ignore it and assume it doesn't exist and never did.

tl;dr: We do, always, but you still refuse to accept or acknowledge it.

You guys are stupid...people educated in law and politics generally go into...law and politics.

Scientists go into science, because genius in mathematics and physics for the most part doesn't go well with geneius in economics, sociology, diplomacy, law, and governing.

Scientists are good in science, having a science degree doesn't make you a master in every field

Seriously, vote Ron Paul if he comes back. The man is a legit, practising doctor and he's studies economics for over (iirc) a decade.

He actually answered questions intelligently and honestly while idiots like McCain tried to bullshit and pretending they actually understood the terms that Paul was using.

Coincidentally, there was a great quote in that crappy movie - 2012: "The guy's an actor! He's reading a script!" so there's no need of the president to be technical person.

We use the metric system, everybody gets a fair chance at life that's actually considered "fail" by both logical and considerable notions, we actually elect and instill officials based on their experience alone and rarely anything else. Yes, our system is better than the current and laughably outdated American system (laughable as in even second world countries and some third world countries have evolved beyond it). And stiff scratches at sarcasm are one of the most common, and most unintellectual and worse, attempts at wit Americans are known for.
