Christians are fools who hold outdated beliefs and can't think for themselves. Leave them to their own solitude in their little bias towns. They're not worth dealing with. Corrupt politicians on the other hand, are worth the time.

The surprising amount of scientists and atheists who don't support transgenderism baffles me since there is plenty of science behind it. Don't listen to those who say psychology is a false science if by that logic biology is too. You would suspect that any scientists and atheists would side with the liberals even if slightly. I hereby conduct my conclusion that if someone is atheist or a scientist and doesn't support transgenderism especially on an imageboard known to have a large population of them. They are nothing more but common trolls.

Those who believe there is something wrong with their bodies when there is not are mentally ill.

The current opinion in neuroscience is that transgendered people most likely have sexual dimorphisms in their brains characteristic of the opposite sex. I won't go into the specifics, but there are some nuclei that are different sizes in men and women that appear to determine whether or not a person views themselves as a man or a woman.

So basically transgendered people literally have a female brain in a male body and vice versa. While some idiots might be willing to call this kind of person a freak, there are far more bizarre abnormalities that can occur regarding gender/sex (google "guevedoces" for such an example).

>> No.2269394

Interesting, why are gay and trans people's brains screwed up and not normal heterosexual people's? If they occur in nature, shouldn't this indicate that they are normal as well?

>> No.2269410

>>2269366

Not trolling?

Tranagendered people have whats known as gender identity disorder. It's the longing to be in the opposite sex and it actually occurs very early in childhood.

It does have a biological substrate. Though the neuroscience behind it isn't completely mapped, people with GID have a hypothalamus (specifically, the anterior region) with a volume equal in size to the opposite gender. They also typically, but not always, have Homosexual orientation, alongside all of the neurological workings that brings forth. All in all, their limbic system is pretty screwy, resembling the gender of the gender they wish to be, mores than their native gender.

And yea, I'm a straight dude and I still find trannies pretty weird. Xenophobia -it's built into us.

Well, transgenders have always claimed that they feel like they're women trapped in men's bodies (and vice versa), but that's really no different from any other kind of delusion. There is evidence, however, that their biology actually is precisely like that. Big difference.

>>2269410
It's not the whole anterior hypothalamus actually. Just one of the nuclei (specifically the third interstitial nucleus). Also, the paper that presented the evidence was met with a lot of skepticism due to its flawed methodology so we're not entirely sure if that really is the case or not.

Surrogacy, I told my soon-to-be transwife that if she ever wanted to have children someday. I'm perfectly fine with her having a surrogate mother. Plus she has a girl friend (emphasis on the space) who's her best friend. Surely she'll be happy to carry her child. So what if it isn't mine? Genetics are unimportant.

What matters is if you're a kind hearted person.

Which is why I still love her even after she told me and our relationship has been better than before.

Yes, we know there is nothing technically wrong with our bodies. But we aren't comfortable in them. And it's a hell of a lot easier to change our bodies to match our minds than it is to do the reverse. Just to add a bit of comfort in our lives. Been on HRT for three years now and I'm much much happier than I was before. And doing this doesn't hurt anyone except those who are afraid of ideas that are different. We have a lot in common; do you ever wish you were normal too? I mean not have the desire to be female and just be content of living your birth gender. I really hate being trans, but not matter how hard i tried, it was still there at the end of the day. so i just said fuck, and start transition.

>> No.2269880

>>2269863
Well, I would have to say that I wouldn't. Being trans hasn't hurt me any in my life and has actually improved in lots of ways. Plus it's hard to answer when you've had this desire since age 5 to have a girls face staring back at me in the mirror. I wanted it so much that it would be every wish on a birthday cake, and I would pray every night before bed that someone would hear me and make me into a girl.

So I guess no. I love how I look now and being trans doesn't really bother me. My only regret is that I didn't transition before puberty. lol

So as a republican trans girl, are you a masochist? =)

>> No.2269923

>>2269880
Yeah, i am a little masochist. For the record, i hate the ultra Christians in the party and i feel they have ruined it. Its more about the principled belief in the party of lower taxes, less government involvement in everyday life, and a leaner more efficient government. As for the part about wanting to be a girl, it first started when i was 4; this is when i first could tell the differences between genders. I lived up until i was 6 as girlie as i wanted and had girl toys too, but my dad finally had enough and tried to make me male. i remember the days where i just wished god would make me a girl and every mourning i would cry when it did not happen. After i was about 12, i just stop believing in god up until i was 16. It's kind of ironic that my high school biology teacher got me got me back into believing in god, although in a non-personal type of from.
