Probably final riddle....

Now;

A man is traveling to a town and comes to a fork in the road. If he goes left, he goes to the liars' village. If he goes right, he then goes to the village of truths - which is where he wants to go. However, he does not know which way is which.

He doesn't have time to go both routes, so he approaches a stranger who is standing in the middle of the fork. The stranger says he may only ask 3 questions and he will answer them.

The man asks, "Are you from the village of truths?" The stranger says, "Yes!" However, the man is still facing a dilemma: If the stranger was from the village of truths he can only tell the truth, but if he was from the village of liars, he would say he was from the village of truth.

So then he asks the stranger, "Are you telling the truth?" The stranger says, "Yes!" But sadly this leaves the man in the same position as before.

As a biology major, I can affirm that this is correct. Pressure levels at the poles are why Polar Bears have taken on a white appearance; it has to do with the processes gene's undergo after breeding is focused long enough in a particular area.

Why do you think there are different species of humans, with different traits and strengths? People from the high up Himalayas, for example, have lost much of the "yellow" color you would associate with their race - and it happened only over a couple hundred years, so basically a handful of generations.

OP here. Answer to the riddle is....

The man asks the stranger the path back to his own village. If he was from the village of truths, he takes him there. If he is from the village of liars, he will still take him to the village of truths because he will be compelled to lie.

That's it. And what is all of this polar bear nonsense, right or wrong who cares it was just a riddle. Like that one guy said, you could look at it as evolutionary pressure or something; doesn't matter.

>> No.2079840

Polar bears fur and skin color are due to thermoregulation and adaption to enviroment.
Theory suggests that, to adapt to the lightening of fur, skin pigment started to darken and fur started to become translucent, thus creating an effective way to gather heat from the sun and be adapted simultaneously.
Though it's debated which came first, but the consensus is that the fur was selected for both functions, to camouflage and pass the heat to the skin.
