What makes EE a godly tier is that once you get a few years of actual full time work experience your value increases much faster then a lot of other disciplines. An EE coming out of college starts in the middle to upper end of the salary ladder, but after 5-10 years is usually well past the others.

I think being a tenured professor of Business or Engineering is God Tier. Summers off, holidays off. If you work in a research institute you don't have to deal with kids if you don't want to. Whereas the natural sciences must endure another 7 years (average) of grad school before facing one or more post-docs and then subsisting as a workaholic assistant prof. before (maybe) finally getting tenure at 40 (average). Engineering is simpler, faster, mo' money, and educated in broader fields than most Nat.Scis. Not to say I don't respect Nat.Scis, their contributions are absolutely critical for the advancement of technology and anyone who gets into that field aware of how much bullshit they will have to wade through gets double-plus man-points from me.
