It is my biggest dream to see the distant future of humanity. Maybe we get destroyed or maybe we actually explore the galaxy and colonize other planets and it will be a world of all kinds of scientific wonders. Either way I know that I can not die happily before I know this.

So is there a remote possibility that my mind could be preserved somehow so that I can wake up in the future? Freezing or uploading it in a Computer whatever - is there some progress in that field? I need something I can put my hopes in.

C: If people started killing off all the close-minded elitist faggots like you I bet you'd piss your pants like a little bitch and start whining about the same rights you would so easily deny others.

Alright, let's say hypothetically that this is 2035, and that the entire world has basically converted to something along the lines of the Australia Project from Manna.
With no real financial constrains you could build huge skyscrapers, futuristic advanced cities in the deserts, and turn the deserts green with the sheer amount of robot power that can be manafactured and commanded. With 7 billion people living like that, pretty much never again do fossil fuels have to be emitted from transportation, etc, and recylcing doesn't 'cost' anymore. Recycling and efficiency are the two things we need to actually pay fucking attention to. We do that, we could support 25 billion people relatively easy with even less of an environmental impact than today. Assuming that robots post scarcity and so forth.

>Some optimists have argued that the planet could support 1,000 billion

http://fatknowledge.blogspot.com/2008/11/how-many-people-can-earth-support.html

If you used all of the surface area of this world you could have a 60/km2 density If our population was at 9 billion. That's also not including the oceans. Anchorage, Alaska has a population density of 63 / km². Your Malthusian argument is invalid.
