Liberals=pro government, anti corporations
Conservatives=Anti government, pro corporations

Both the government and corporations have a bad track record of corruption.

Why can't both groups admit that they are both wrong?

not so much pro corporations so much as pro free market and transparency.
nobody wants to give corporations a free ticket, just as nobody (except liberals for some reason) want to give any level of government a free ticket

a heavily free market only works with a very analytical and piercing media in order to call out any corruption, and an easy avenue for whistle blowers. which is what we're approaching now with internet anonymity.

You are right - you clarification of the fundamental stance of america's conservative party was a valuable addition to a serious conversation. Taking the OP seriously was the smart and intelligent thing to do. Posting politics on /sci/ is a joy and everyone benefits from it.

You're wisdom and generosity reflect the virtues of the conservative party in america and inspire us all to reexamine our own political leanings.
