Should we decide to colonize a planet outside of earth I think there are certain guidelines we should lay out in order to be sure we aren't sending a bunch of retards to the farthest reaches of space.

1) Anyone who is going to be colonizing a planet needs to be physically healthy. They need to be at normal weight, suffer from no diseases or medical conditions like asthma and etc.

2) They should be skilled workers who have a degree in a useful department. We would need contractors who can build and people who are skilled in agriculture to get the colony started. We don't need Jackasses who happen to have money for the flight. The first to go need to be smart and capable then once we have a self sustaining settlement we can send up the lesser majority.

3) Corporations should be banned from setting up businesses on said planets in order to prevent corruption of resources and personnel on the project. The last thing we need is Haliburton to show up and fuck the planet to hell by starting Mining exploration.

4) The Most important factor to these colonies...they need to be totally green and energy efficient. If we want to set up a long term colony the only way that will happen is if we make sure all the energy being used is green rather than shipping coal and God knows what else in for energy. I am not saying we shouldnt have fuel for emergency situations but I don't want to see my species jump from planet to planet like a virus fucking up ecosystems like a cancer.

Why the shit should people with asthma be excluded? And no I don't have it.
I believe companies should be able to sell some stuff but it needs to be drastically different than the way it's currently done. No monopolizing or fucking up of the environment, mandated cheap prices etc etc.

The people going to the colonies need to be physically able to work and help should shit go down. The last thing we need is timmy suffering an asthma attack due to the new microbes of the planet

Its not that fucking hard, if someone is sick or unfit they get healthy or they can fuck off. We arent going to waste resources on people who will be holding the colony back.

Private entities have more right to space than nations do.
Preqs for space travel will loosen as the cost of space travel goes down, soon any obese neck beard will be able to pay his way into space.Space is like the new world was to Europe, you cant try to limit access to satisfy some sort of sci-fi book dickery

What demise? Both private and public sectors should invest in space. Space is the new frontier, and we must welcome it with cautious but open arms.
