So basically, the Heart and the Brain is binary. Meaning that if you lose your heart, your mind doesn't work, and vice versa. The heart produces feelings like: Happiness, Sadness, etc etc. Whilst the brain sends the messages you ~recieve~ from your perception of reality to your heart. The heart produces courage and the brain produces wisdom. Giver/Receiver(a bit like you guys).

No, the heart pumps blood. The brain doesn't seen to send any form of signals directly to the heart, altough it can send signals to the sinoatrial node altering the pulse. Emotions are generated in the limbic system, like the hippocampi and other related neurological structures.

The heart and the brain fight a lot, they often come to different conclusions. If you are a normal person, the brain always wins. If you have some form of mental disorder, the heart wins.(Phobias, alcoholism, depression, anxiety, or just being a generally hysterical person)

However, the brain ultimately is there to serve the heart, we live for pleasure, we search for happiness, our brain is a tool to help us achieve these. And im not talking purely self interest, we also seek out pleasure and happiness for others.
