I GOT INTO HONORS PHYSICS Y'ALL!

I got switched into it today! I'm so happy, it's thanks, in part, to you guys too. So for me, give yourselves a pat on the back.

ITT we talk about relative velocities and why matter can never exceed the speed of light. Having a bit of trouble understanding the ideas behind Einsteins math.

mainly why is it exactly that mass ways more the faster you go?

okay I'll put it into context:

say object x has a mass of 1g and is traveling at 10mph. What will be it's weight if it's speed increases to .995(c)? Why can't an object then slow down just a bit then increase it's speed again? Wouldn't this release the weight constraint?

honors is very different from normal physics, we weren't even doing labs in the normal course, we also get to learn a bit about theoretical physics and the like.
