hey /sci/ what's up? I have some questions about engineering and schooling.

I've always wanted to do work with robotics and cybernetics (when possible). Stuff like artificial limbs and whole bodies and cool stuff like that. I'll leave it your imagination.

My question is this: with my interests in engineering I planned on getting my B.S. in mechanical engineering and a B.E. in electronic engineering, with these will I be able to do anything robotic related? Some people I've asked said I wanted to do biomechanical engineering but I don't know much about that field. What do?

Sorry for the idiot format of the question I'm just not sure how to phrase it.

Mechanical probably, you work with building machines, actuators servos gears and shit and probably a fair bit about electronic control systems for various mechanical systems too.

I kind of figured, I'm more into the mechanical aspect not the actual application onto humans

Some schools offer a mechatronics program. Its electrical+mechanical, totally bad-ass, and very relavent to robotics and cybernetics.

my school (poly mtl) noffer a a biomed program new from a few years dunno about other schools

does the mechatronics course offer dual degrees? Like a B.S. and B.E.?
