FINALLY I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!

I know how christians and atheists can get along:

You know how quantum mechanics has a random/statistical element to it? Well, Lets say God rolls the dice - Then Atheists can have their physics and Christians can have their religion!

This theory is brilliant because I recently learned that quantum 'jumps' cause gene molecules (sometimes) to turn into isomeric different molecules, and this is what drives evolution - So under my new theory God can still PICK what evolves to what, AND it still fits with the scientific theory!

peace!

What about creationist?

No. You're still a stupid superstitious nutter who believes in an invisible man in the sky.

So someone who believes that things are as they appear to be is delusional and someone who believes ancient scribblings isn't?

He never implied that. In fact, he never insinuated that at all in his post.

People have their beliefs, just as you have yours. As long as they don't intercept your own life style, live your life the way you want.

You don't believe that things are what they appear to be. You believe what you are told to believe.

Yes, OP, this has always seemed very reasonable to me. It even allows for miracles.

This has nothing to do with quantum mechanics. Its just a buzz word for mutation because evolutionary biologists are sick of explaining how those can be a good or neutral thing.

>someone who believes that things are as they appear to be

Unfortunately, that is not quite how reality works. For millenia, people believed that the sun and stars revolved around the Earth. That is what it appeared to be and we had very little evidence to suggest otherwise. Even though it 'appeared' that the sun revolved around the Earth, it was still wrong.

But perhaps I am playing with semantics.
