String theory is hipster bullshit. There isnt even hard evidence to back it up dipshit.

Also, your joke wasnt funny

it's provable, just not yet, it's too ahead of our technology, as many theories are at first (e=mc^2, for example)
it has serious mathematics behind it.
it has logic behind it.

if you don't believe in time as a fourth dimension, you should not be in a science forum.

once you understand there is more than the 3 dimensions we think we are in, you will know there is infinite amounts of possibilities.

FUCKING FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

TIME IS NOT A SPACIAL DIMENSION. IT IS ONLY A DIMENSION IN RELATIVITY.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_dimension
>The fourth dimension in this space was sometimes interpreted as time, but this is no longer done in modern physics.

doesn't matter. it behaves WITH space, not separately.

time and space are directly related.
it does not matter whether time is a spacial dimension or not, it is an 'extra' dimension that affects us.

String theory was initially inconsistent because they didn't realise it was describing gravity, this is a pretty amazing fact.
And of course it's not testable, the main ways it differs from the Standard Model are at extreme energies, which is most likely going to be in any version of quantum gravity. There's very little in the way of other ideas, so I think that String Theory should be supported unless it directly contradicts fact.
