Motherless homes tend to have outcomes similar to that of a traditional two parent home while fatherless homes lead children to grow up with all manner of problems. So maybe that could work. OP sounded like he wanted the government to create a bunch of parentless children, which is even worse than fatherless homes. But if he meant men should be able to start a family without involving a woman, that might be doable.

Why won't our governments just give way more meaningful sums than that? 50k per baby, for instance. It's literally the most important thing for our future, and 50k is actually very little when compared to how much money the average person will pay back in his lifetime. In fact, the useless criminal bums we are importing from Africa are far more expensive than 10k, and they cost that every god damn year.

Extinction is way fucking easier than jettisoning women from the species through artificial wombs (in a psychological sense; technically it is the simpler alternative). So, except in isolated cases, never.

Also initiatives like OPs pic is at best dysgenic and counterproductive by encouraging native replacement. In reality the amount of money required by a woman to breed with a man they're not attracted to is orders of magnitude greater than the proposed sum and grows greater every day.

I don't have kids because I don't have a gf/wife. I also have a low paid dead end job, it's comfy enough and pays enough money for me to survive but if I wanted kids I'd need a better job and to work more hours (a one off payment of 10k or 20k won't do much). Also women in age range of 20-30 who want to have kids will look primarily for a high earner successful male, who also have to be moderately handsome and with a large number of friends.
I can't afford to have kids. I am not successful enough or good looking to attract a woman, I see no reason to change my current easy life for a stressful 16 hour work day just to make more money, even then if that job is not prestigious enough, women won't give my any attention.

how would it inflate residential real estate prices? You can only do it once. Nowadays we have too many single person households. It would merge them together so decreasing real estate prices.
I mean if you set up a maximum determined per state, you wouldn't get inflation if you also go fascist and punish those twat developers who try to price in the government money and sell a 400k house for 700k. If they do that just beat the living shit out of those people. Foreign investors in real estate are a cancer that must be eradicated btw. No use letting foreigners invest in native land.

>if you also go fascist and punish those twat developers who try to price in the government money and sell a 400k house for 700k.
Why do people always bring these fantasy solutions to real world problems?
Who, which goverment is going to go "fascist' in this day and age? How can you punish developers who want to sell their properties at high price? Punishing them would be basically be taking control of the prices, this is not possible in free market economy. The complete solution on how you would deal with such problems under fascism/communism, is irrelevant in western world it also adds nothing to the conversation.

I have a two year old at home. It’s difficult for me to articulate why it’s worth it, but it is the best thing that ever happened to me - despite having little to no free time.

Anyway, these are all bandaid solutions. Governments need to drastically drop the cost of housing if they want people to have more kids (building housing supply comes before even environmental considerations).

>Who, which goverment is going to go "fascist' in this day and age? How can you punish developers who want to sell their properties at high price? Punishing them would be basically be taking control of the prices, this is not possible in free market economy.
I didn't actually mean fascist. I meant that fascism did provide. alternative solutions to some problems of the free market economy. If we'd give every young family a mortgage that'd be wiped clean by having enough children, any sane developer and bank would just up their prices by the amount of the loan so there'd be no use to it for the family. But that money would just directly go to the upper classes owning the developer companies and the banks. Somehow you'd want to prevent that. A free market economy naturally descends into a monopoly and in fact there are no free market economies anywhere. There's always government regulation. Social democracy is just another form of mild fascism from that point of view.
So no I do not mean actual fascism. I meant a social democratic policy where developers are prevented from abusing such a subsidy to young families to just up their prices and make a profit with no effort on their own.
You don't actually believe we operate with a free market economy, right? Standard oil would've been a deserved monopoly in that case and not just that it'd be allowed to up its prices to maximise wealth extraction from the middle classes after obtaining the monopoly. Surely you agree that some measure of government control is necessary to prevent subsidies just flowing to the pockets of those already rich? I'm not advocating communism or any extreme ideology. I'm however of the opinion that if we'd go through with such a subsidy, and a developer did up its prices, then that developer should be punished for clearly abusing that subsidy to his own advantage to the detriment of exactly the group of people we're trying to help.

So what, just pump in a cool hundred trillion printed burgerbucks and sort it out with price controls afterward? They can't even do price controls now.

How about we just use that money for artificial wombs and solve the problem *everywhere, forever*?

>>16086778
The impact of wealth on fertility is sharply negative. Using the figures found by these studies, even the highest positive impact (+0.11 fertility /8K*year/first child) the marginal income gained from the direct subsidy has a lower positive effect than the negative effect of the women being richer!

What's the plan, remove all women from the workforce so their only possible income is from kids? How are you voting that shit in?

>> No.16087634

>>16085126
the technology for artificial wombs is COMPLETE AND UTTER SHIT right now. It can't grow from embryos, the fetus has to be quite developed. The technique for growing lambs in plastic bags is based on cutting off the placenta and oxygenating it with ECMO. Our famous /sci/ schizoposters would probably go wild about this. It's like CLAMPing on steroids. You see, ECMO fucking sucks. It's incredibly expensive, labor intensive, and it causes clots. In short, artificial wombs are sci-fi fucking fantasy at the moment.
