The reality is OP is right. “Just start a business” with literally zero idea of anything is one of the dumbest suggestions on the planet, even dumber than getting the PhD in the first place. Tech and finance are both so extremely competitive OP could be out of work for more than a year, especially since he can’t code (you already know he can’t, you don’t need to ask).
